Job Description:
Quanta Technology is expanding and looking for a high caliber person to join its consulting team.
Responsibilities include:
- lead technical analysis for a broad area of client electric power transmission needs including security constrained economic dispatch, power flows, contingency analysis, short circuit, transient angular stability, voltage stability, reactive power compensation, power quality, harmonics, voltage flicker and stray voltage, among others;
- manage client relationship by advising clients on related power system needs, involves other consulting staff and identify new opportunities to assist clients;
- prepare proposals;
- project management; and
- participate in closing new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Masters in Electrical Engineering plus minimum 5 years experience in utility or consultancy in relevant positions,
- Active participation in technical societies, and authorship of industry technical papers.
- Experience conducting dynamic and steady-state stability analysis (PSS/E or PSLF experience preferred)
- Experience conducting transmission system economic planning analysis (PROMOD, MAPS and/or GRID VIEW experience preferred)
