Dr. Novosel, President of Quanta Technology, is one of the nation's leading technology and business experts on T&D systems and power system automation. During 24 years in the industry, he has developed concepts and methods to improve power system planning, operation and maintenance and was awarded 16 patents. He created and managed several organizations that developed innovative technology and new products and systems. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); an honorary grade conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors upon a person with an extraordinary record of industry accomplishments. Damir received his PhD from Mississippi State while on a Fulbright scholarship.

Mr. Willis, Senior Vice President of Quanta Technology, is an expert in T&D planning, aging infrastructure analysis, and utility asset management, and has developed many planning and engineering methods that are now considered industry best practices. A 33-year veteran of the electric power industry, he has been instrumental in helping customers to improve their asset management practices, optimize asset investment decision-making, and manage aging infrastructure over time. Also a Fellow of IEEE, Lee has authored seven books including the Power Distribution Planning Reference Book and Aging Power Delivery Infrastructures. Lee received his MSEE from Rice University.

Richard Brown, PhD

Dr. Brown, Vice President of Quanta Technology, is one of the power industry's leading experts on reliability engineering and power systems failure analysis and mitigation, and is author of the book Electric Power Distribution Reliability. During the past 16 years, he has provided a range of asset management services to utilities that have resulted in reduced life-cycle costs, improved reliability, and reduced risk exposure, and hardened infrastructure. Richard is an IEEE Fellow, received his PhD from the University of Washington, and received his MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Don Morrow

Mr. Morrow, Vice President of Quanta Technology, is a leading expert in transmission system planning, operations, and advanced technology applications. During the past 23 years, Don has grown from scratch the operations group for a leading independent transmission company, and has led a wide range of utility groups including planning, engineering, operations, maintenance scheduling, operator training, protection, distribution operations, and natural gas dispatch. He is actively involved in many industry organizations including NERC, MAIN, MRO, MAPP, MISO, PSERC, and WUMS. Mr. Morrow has a BSEE and an MBA, both from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Bill Snyder

Mr. Snyder, Vice President of Quanta Technology, has a broad background in utility operations, management and change initiatives resulting from over 28 years experience in the electric utility industry. He has successfully led major process change identification and implementation programs in the engineering and operations functions, as well as leading consulting engagements to review and evaluate operational processes and standards. He has consulted with utility companies domestically and internationally in the areas of infrastructure design, maintenance, operations, reliability and asset management. His experience in power engineering and his understanding of management needs and challenges to improve business operations provide him a unique insight into utility company operations, culture and process improvement opportunities. Bill holds a BS degree in Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA degree from Wake Forest University.

Bartosz Wojszczyk

Dr. Wojszczyk, Director of Protection and Automation for Quanta Technology, is a technology and business expert on power system protection, automation, emerging alternative technologies and advanced technology applications. He has a number of years of international experience working directly with electric utilities, power/energy vendors, energy investment groups and universities. He has successfully served as a business and technical consultant for several international companies specialized in strategic planning and business development of protection and automation, power/energy technology assessment, incubation and technology transfer, and emerging technology into market implementation Mr. Wojszczyk received his PhD from Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland. He is the author/co-author of a number of published technical papers and one U.S. patent. Mr. Wojszczyk is a member of IEEE and is listed in the Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals.

   

James Blackman
Director of Business Development

Mr. Blackman, Director of Business Development of Quanta Technology, is well versed in the issues and needs regarding energy market operation, delivery system and generation plant design and performance, business and system operations, IT systems, and automation and communications of electric and gas systems. During his 38 years of sales management and business development of technical services and systems, he has assisted nearly every major utility and RTO in North America with articulation of needs, development of proposals to serve those needs and monitoring of projects for client satisfaction. He has worked directly with all levels of utility professionals from technical staff to senior executive management. Jim received his BSEE from the Pennsylvania State University.
