Nagy Abed, Ph.D.

Dr. Abed is an expert in power system components modeling; power quality, power system studies, fault signatures, real time simulations and protection. He has published more than 30 technical papers in Refereed Journals and Conference Proceedings. Nagy is a member of IEEE, and reviewer for IEEE transactions and conferences. He is also a member of honor societies like Phi Beta Delta, Eta Kappa Nu, and Delta Epsilon Iota.
He is a recipient of the Dean Distinction Award at Florida international University and Mansoura University in 2007 and 1995, respectively. He received his B.Eng. and M. Sc from Mansoura University, Mansoura, Egypt and his PhD from Florida International University, Miami. He has worked at Mansura University (research assistant and teaching assistance), and Florida International University (Instructor and research assistant).
