Damir Novosel, Ph.D.

Dr. Novosel is one of the nation's leading technology and business experts on electrical power systems and automation. During 26 years in the industry, working with electric utilities and vendors, he has created innovative methods and performed or supervised numerous studies to improve power system planning, operation and maintenance. He has created and managed several organizations that developed new technologies and systems and advised on best industry practices.
He is a Fellow of the IEEE, and received his PhD from Mississippi State while on a Fulbright scholarship. Damir was awarded 16 patents and published over 100 articles in Refereed Journals and Conference Proceedings, mainly in the areas of power system reliability improvement, power system protection, and stability analysis. Dr. Novosel co-authored a paper in IEEE Spectrum on “Taming the Power Grid” and contributed to McGraw-Hill 2006 Yearbook of Science and Technology.
